HOW TO COOK NIGERIAN CATFISH PEPPER SOUP

Nigerian Catfish Pepper Soup also known as Point & Kill is  a type of delicacy  usually eaten in Nigerian restaurants.
Ingredients
·        Cat Fish (500g)
·         2 table spoon already blended pepper soup spices
·         1 table spoon grounded crayfish 
  • Habanero Pepper or chili pepper (to taste)
  • A few scent leaves (washed and pick, tear to small pieces)
  • 2 medium sized onions (diced)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Stock cubes to taste
Directions
1.   Wash and cut the fish into about an inch thick slices.
2.   Pour boiled water on the fish, stir and remove immediately from the hot water.
3.   Rinse the fish in cold water.
4.   Put the fish pieces in a pot add enough water to cover the fish
5.   Add the stock cubes and allow to boil
6.   Immediately it starts boiling, add the pepper soup, spice, crayfish, pepper, onions and scent leaves, continue cooking.
7.   When the fish is well cooked, add the salt to taste Leave to simmer for 5 minutes and the soup is ready.

Catfish pepper soup can be served with boiled yam, boiled plantain, cold pap or eaten alone.
