HOW TO COOK NIGERIAN CHICKEN AND CHIPS

Ingredients
1.    Sweet potatoes
2.    Medium sized cut chicken
3.    Curry powder
4.    stock cube
5.    Onion
6.    thyme
7.    Salt
8.    Dry pepper
9.    Vegetable oil for deep frying
10.  Vegetable salad or coleslaw
11.   ketchup

Potatoes Direction
1. Wash and slice the potatoes to about 2cm thick
2.Put the sliced potatoes in water and add some salt to your taste, and allow to soak for about   20  minutes.
3. Drain the potatoes in a sieve.
4.  Deep fry the potatoes.
Note: you can also use yams instead of the potatoes

Direction for the chicken
1.   Wash the chicken
2.   Blend onion, add stock cube, thyme, curry powder,  dry pepper and salt, and any other spice of your   choice, mix together and use to marinade the chicken for about an hour.
3.    Deep fry the chicken until golden brown
4.    Serve the chicken and chips with ketchup or vegetable salad or both

 You may also prefer to bake your potatoes  and chicken  instead of frying so that the fat content in the food will reduce.
